ISBM Blow Molding Machines for Baby, PP & Special-Shaped Bottles
One Platform Technology,
Six Dedicated Series
Our ISBM one-step machines share a common platform — same servo-driven architecture, same biaxial stretch-blow process — but each series is precision-configured for the specific material, neck geometry, wall profile, and production speed that its target bottle category demands.
A cosmetic bottle machine needs tight temperature zoning for complex PETG geometry. A pharmaceutical bottle machine needs closed-cycle contamination control and injection-grade neck precision. A food jar machine needs wide-mouth mould stations that standard narrow-neck machines simply can’t accommodate.
Matching the machine to the application is how you get a consistent, low-defect, low-energy production line from day one — not after months of parameter adjustment.

Supported Resins Across All Six Series
Material selection is application-driven. The right resin depends on your bottle’s end-use requirements — chemical resistance, clarity, temperature tolerance, regulatory compliance, and whether the container carries BPA-free claims.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions Buyers Ask Before Choosing an ISBM Machine
Straight answers based on what our engineering team hears most often — from first-time buyers and experienced packaging manufacturers alike.
What is the difference between one-step ISBM and two-step (reheat) SBM — and which has lower running costs?
One-step ISBM (what we make) runs injection, conditioning, stretch-blow, and ejection inside one machine in a single continuous cycle. The preform uses residual heat from injection — no secondary reheating, no preform storage, no inter-machine handling. Smaller footprint, lower contamination risk, and no preform inventory to manage.
Two-step SBM injection-moulds preforms separately — often bought from a supplier — then feeds them into a standalone reheat blow-moulding machine. The reheating stage is where most of the extra energy goes.
Two-step makes economic sense at very high volumes (10 million+ bottles/year per SKU) where you can justify dedicated preform production infrastructure. For most buyers running 500,000 – 5 million bottles/year, one-step gives a lower total cost of ownership.
⚡ Energy saving on one-step vs two-step: 30–40% lower electricity consumption per 1,000 bottles, because the reheat stage — the most power-intensive part of two-step SBM — is eliminated entirely.
How do I work out how many cavities I need to hit my daily output target?
Work backwards from your daily output target using this formula:
Required BPH = Daily target bottles ÷ (Production hours × 0.85)
Example: 50,000 bottles/day over 20 hours
50,000 ÷ (20 × 0.85) = 2,941 BPH requiredThen pick the model whose theoretical output exceeds that number.
The 0.85 efficiency factor covers mould changes, material loading, minor stoppages, and shift handovers. It’s a realistic production figure — not the nameplate spec. If your line runs cleanly with stable SKUs, you might reach 0.88–0.90; for multi-SKU lines with frequent changeovers, 0.80 is more realistic.
More cavities = higher output but also higher mould cost and longer changeover. For multi-SKU lines, two 2-cavity machines running different bottle types simultaneously often gives more flexibility than one 4-cavity machine.
How long does a mould changeover take, and how many SKUs can one machine realistically run?
On a 2-cavity ISBM machine, an experienced operator can swap both injection and blow mould sets in 2–4 hours with pre-heated tooling. On a 4-cavity machine, allow 4–6 hours. The injection mould is slower because it requires thermal stabilisation before production can restart — rushing this step causes defects in the first few hundred bottles.
How many SKUs per machine: there is no fixed limit. One machine can run dozens of different bottle designs over its lifetime, as long as each bottle’s neck diameter, volume, and material fall within the machine’s rated range. In practice, lines running more than 6–8 SKUs per month benefit from quick-change tooling brackets that reduce mechanical steps during changeover.
The practical constraint is economic: each bottle design requires its own mould set (injection + blow), which is a capital cost of roughly USD 8,000–25,000 per design depending on complexity. For SKUs below 50,000 units/year, toll moulding from a bottle converter is usually more cost-effective than investing in dedicated tooling.
Do I own the mould after I buy it? And how long does mould manufacturing take?
Yes — the mould is your property. After full payment, the mould belongs to you. If you ever change machine supplier, you can take your moulds with you (subject to interface compatibility between manufacturers, which we verify before mould design begins). We stamp your mould with your company identifier on request.
Lead time for a new mould set (injection mould + blow mould for one bottle design): 35–50 days from approved 2D/3D drawing. We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, and Solidworks formats. First samples from the approved mould are produced and signed off before the mould ships.
📐 Standard catalogue bottles (500 ml PET water bottle, 1L lotion pump, etc.): 25–35 days — core geometry is pre-engineered.
🔮 Complex special-shaped or embossed surface bottles: 45–50 days — full 3D optimisation required.
What after-sales support is included once the machine arrives at my factory?
Installation & commissioning: our engineer travels to your facility for machine installation, parameter tuning, and first-run production sign-off. Typical on-site duration: 5–10 days depending on machine complexity. Travel and accommodation are covered by the buyer; engineering labour is included in the machine price.
Operator training: included as part of commissioning. We train your team on machine operation, daily maintenance routine, mould changeover procedure, and basic fault diagnosis. English training documentation supplied with every machine. Video training available remotely for subsequent staff.
Ongoing remote support: diagnostics via video call and machine PLC log export. Engineering team in China responds within 24 hours. APAC-region customers can contact our Condell Park NSW office in Australian business hours.
Spare parts: common wear items — seals, filters, heating elements, solenoid valves — dispatched directly from our factory with 3–7 day international shipping. Critical downtime parts can be air-freighted within 24–48 hours of order confirmation.
🔧 Machine life expectancy: under normal operating conditions and standard maintenance schedules, our ISBM machines have an expected operational life of 15–20 years. We continue to supply spare parts for discontinued models for a minimum of 10 years after the last production run.
