Two Machine Technologies
ISBM & IBM — Choose the Right Process for Your Bottle
Not sure which technology fits your container? Use the comparison table below or read the buying guide.
ISBM Machine Series
Injects, conditions, stretches, and blows the bottle in one continuous cycle using residual injection heat — no reheating, no preform storage. Produces clear PET and PETG bottles with biaxially oriented walls for superior clarity, CO2 barrier, and mechanical strength.
Best for: Beverage bottles, cosmetic containers, edible oil bottles, pharmaceutical tablet jars, food jars, water dispensers — anywhere high clarity and lightweight wall matter.
IBM Machine – ZQ Series
3-station rotary IBM process with no stretch rod — injects the preform and blows directly on the core rod without reheating. Produces containers with ±1% wall uniformity, zero scrap, and injection-grade neck finish accuracy. Used as a direct replacement for Jomar, BLOMA, SUMA, and Uniloy IBM lines.
Best for: Pharmaceutical liquid bottles, eye drop containers, cosmetic jars, personal care bottles, daily chemical containers — anywhere neck precision and zero waste are critical.
How It Works
Two Processes, One Manufacturer
Understanding the difference between ISBM and IBM helps you choose the right machine from the start. Both run an integrated inject-and-blow cycle — the key difference is biaxial stretching and material choice.
INJECTION MOLDING
PET/PETG resin is plasticized and injected into a preform mold. The threaded neck is formed to injection-grade tolerance at this stage — the foundation for cap and pump compatibility.
CONDITIONING & GATE TRIM
The still-hot preform is transferred to the conditioning station. Gate sprue is removed. Zoned heating equalises the preform body temperature (90–110°C for PET) while keeping the neck cool.
STRETCH BLOW MOLDING
A servo stretch rod elongates the preform axially while high-pressure air (up to 3.5 MPa) expands it radially. Biaxial orientation dramatically increases clarity, barrier properties, and tensile strength.
COOLING & EJECTION
Chilled water circuits solidify the bottle in the mold. A robotic arm ejects the finished container onto the conveyor — ready for filling, labelling, or inspection. Cycle time: 10–30 seconds.
INJECTION ON CORE ROD
Resin (HDPE, PP, PS, PC, or PET) is injected around a precision core rod at Station 1, forming a preform with a fully-finished threaded neck — no post-trimming required.
TURRET ROTATION & BLOW
The rotary table indexes the preform — still on the core rod, still retaining injection heat — to the blow station. Air at 0.7–1.2 MPa expands the preform into the final bottle shape. No reheating. Wall uniformity ±1%.
STRIP & EJECT
The finished bottle is stripped cleanly from the core rod at the ejection station. No flash, no weld line at the base, no bottom seam. Zero production scrap. Dry cycle time: 2.5–4 seconds.
Applications
What Bottles Do These Machines Produce?
Both ISBM and IBM technology serve multiple industries. The right machine depends on your bottle’s material, volume, neck diameter, and production quantity — not just the industry.
